The Amazon, once a CO₂ sink, is releasing more carbon as climate change, deforestation and other human threats push it to its limits. Scientific researchers are trying to understand. Luciana Gatti of the Centre National de Recherches Spatiales tells us that the tipping point has been reached in some regions of the biome.
