Patrick Vanier is a French video producer who has lived in Latin America for over 20 years, successively in Guatemala, Bolivia and now Brazil.  His work focuses on socio-biodiversity, with a particular interest in indigenous communities. His commitment has led him to explore crucial issues, notably the future of the Amazon rainforest.

With a degree in history from the Université Paris-Sorbonne, Patrick is also a video journalist. As a freelance documentary filmmaker, international correspondent and contributor to various renowned media (AFP, TV5, BBC World, France 24,
Le Monde, Science Magazine, among others), he has acquired in-depth knowledge of local realities. His great adaptability has enabled him to develop, produce and direct editorial projects and institutional video formats for an international clientele (UNDP, European Union, AmazonFACE) .

In 2021, he co-founded HILAEA Media, a multilingual audiovisual production studio operating in French, English, Portuguese and Spanish.
