Between science and those who shape climate policy, the gap is often too wide. With AmazonFACE, we work to close it.

Since the installation of the first tower in the Amazon rainforest, Hilaea Media has been a long-term partner of this landmark scientific project — driven by one conviction: its findings are too important to remain confined to academic journals. They need to reach those with the power to act.

AmazonFACE exposes sections of living forest to the CO2 levels of 2050 — recreating tomorrow’s atmosphere, today. The goal: to observe in real time how the Amazon responds, and whether it will still be capable of absorbing our emissions. The answer will directly shape global climate policy.

Over the years and across multiple COPs, we have produced films to document the project — and to open a window onto the forest’s future for decision-makers. Our latest production, an VR immersive film presented at COP30, takes you into the canopy: where the future of our planet is at stake.
